- Do Cyclone Buildings do kitset sheds that I can build myself?
- Yes, your local Cyclone Buildings distributor can supply complete kitsets for some projects, such as sleepouts or storage. Talk to your local distributor to find out whether a kitset suits what you have in mind.
- Can Cyclone Buildings build shed homes?
- Some of our distributors build livable and habitable buildings, and which ones varies by region. It is a specialist build with its own consent requirements, so start by finding your local distributor, they will tell you whether they take on habitable work or point you to who does.
- How do I get a quote?
- The quickest way is the online shed designer: lay out the building you want and it goes straight to your local distributor for pricing. You can also request a consultation and have someone walk you through it, or contact your distributor directly.
- How do you design my building?
- Our design software makes it straightforward to design your building around your specific site and the relevant building code requirements. And because our distributors are locals, they know the environmental conditions in your region and what your council will expect.
- How long does it take to build from the date I order?
- Planning and design typically takes two to three weeks, and then the build can begin. Depending on size and design, a shed, garage or small workshop can be completed in a matter of weeks. Larger buildings take longer.
- Do you prepare the ground and lay the concrete slab if I need it?
- Yes. We manage the entire build, council application, laying the slab, construction, right through to inspection.
- Do I need building consent for a shed in New Zealand?
- Most sheds of any real size need building consent, and anything you intend to live in always does. The rules vary by council and by what the building is used for, so your local distributor will confirm what applies to your site, consent is part of the service, not something you are left to work out alone.
- I’m looking at buying a business. Are there any distributorships for sale, or territories that need a distributor?
